Prioress Alysyn Bourque

Alysyn Bourque began her career as a radio host and has since produced a variety of radio programs. She served as president of Netcityradio.com, and later CEO of Net City Media Group.
 
Honored in 2008 by the Cambridge Who's Who of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs, she is also a writer and poet. She is a former member of the Academy of Political Science, and is a member of the National Association of Christian Ministers and the Association of Clergy International. She is also a Certified California Food Handler and graduated with honors.  She is an adherent of the Twelve Marks of New Monasticism and helped establish the Oikos Intentional Community and the Sunflower Village Project.

Alysyn is Prioress of the Oikos Intentional Community and the superior authority over the Dasa.  The Dasa signed a contract of full physical and spiritual submission to her and she has charge over his vows. She is also Senior Pastor of Evangel Pacific Ministries.

Alysyn is the mother of two children, and lives with her family in Los Angeles. She is an ordained minister of the Gospel and currently serves as Senior Pastor of Evangel Pacific Ministries,  and Prioress of the Oikos Community. She is the first openly Transsexual member of the clergy known in new monastic leadership circles.  She is the author of The Blacklight Chronicles, a collection of sacred erotic poetry. She is currently working on another collection of poems and lives in Los Angeles.
